Coming up soon, our Love and Logic Parent Training conducted by LAMP Mom, Amy Mclagan. This is a practical parenting program for parents of toddlers and teens usually ranging from $50- $75 that will be presented at RPC free of charge. Call 485-1900 Marcy Thompson for more details.

MOPS is a place to find friendship, community, resources and support for you as a woman and mother so you're not alone. MOPS holds and shares the collected wisdom of mothers and experts (usually one and the same!); add your voice to the conversation!


February 18 at 10 AM:  Mops will have a Family Fun Run to the Newport Aquarium on Saturday, meeting in the lobby at 10:00 AM.  Two children are free for each full-paying adult.


January 10 at 6:00 PM:  We will be planning activities and events for 2012 as well as finalizing details on our upcoming Love and Logic seminar for MOPS and RPC families and friends.  For more information, call Love Alive Montessori at #859-485-1900.


December 17 at 1:30 PM:  CHRISTMAS FAMILY OUTING for MOPS this month! Join us on Saturday December 17th at 1:30 for a matinee showing of The Muppet Movie at the Florence Rave Cinema. We'll meet at 1:15 in the lobby. Regular meetings will resume on January 10th from 6-7pm at Richwood Presbyterian Church. Bring the family!

November 8 Meeting:  Election Day and the Mops Group is cancelled because of Election Day. Please mark your calendar for Tuesday, December 13, 2011 when we'll meet again!

October 11 Meeting:  Love and Logic instructor and Love Alive mom, Amy McLagan will share this effective and popular child discipline approach. Not just for preschoolers, this approach works with schoolagers and teenagers as well. Love and Logic seminars are held in major cities across the nation and we are so lucky to have Amy visit our group and answer our questions. Copies of Love and Logic and Love and Logic for Early Childhood  are available to check out at the Love Alive Parent Resource shelf.  

September 13 Meeting: Janet Chambers of the Breast Cancer Foundation will be on hand to share important information all women need.  Don't miss this one!


August 9 Meeting: Boone County Librarian, Richelle Roth will share tips and techniques for reading to preschoolers. She will also bring an array of preschool favorites to browse. Also, Usbourne Rep Janice Elam will provide a small Book Fair to help you launch the new school year. Moppets child care provided. Come as you are, but plan to come! Everyone is welcome.


July 12 Meeting:  Our guest will be Lana Chalk owner of Scraps Etc. scrapbookkeeping stores. She will conduct a workshop demonstrating the latest ideas and techniques. Bring whatever you may be working on and in the meantime check out her blog at www.scrapsetc.com for more great ideas. Come as you are and, as always, Moppets child care and chocolate are provided. Everybody is welcome.
